Denture Reline

As the jawbone changes shape after tooth loss, dentures gradually become loose. A reline adds new material to the inside of the denture to improve the fit. A chairside reline can often be done in one appointment. A laboratory reline provides a more precise fit and is sent to the dental lab for processing.

When to Replace vs. Repair

Minor repairs and relines can extend the life of your denture. However, if your denture is more than 7-10 years old, severely worn, or requires frequent repairs, replacement may be more cost-effective. We will give you an honest assessment of whether repair or replacement is the better option.

Do Not Repair Dentures at Home

Over-the-counter denture repair kits can cause more damage and make professional repair more difficult. Improperly repaired dentures can injure your gums and mouth. Always bring broken dentures to us for professional repair.
