How Implant-Supported Dentures Work

Two to four implants are placed in the jawbone. After healing, special attachments (locator abutments) are placed on the implants. The denture has corresponding attachments on the inside that snap onto the implants. The denture can be snapped in and out by the patient for cleaning, but stays firmly in place during normal use.
